EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this enduring material, the participant should be better able to:

• Describe epidemiology of Bolivian hemorrhagic fever and Argentine hemorrhagic fever cases and risk factors.
• Discuss clinical presentation and medical management of cases of Bolivian and Argentine hemorrhagic fevers.
• Explore South American hemorrhagic fever differential diagnosis.
• Review a public health program model for arenavirus control.
