EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this enduring material, the participant should be better able to:
- Describe the changes in disease epidemiology that are potentially influenced by changes in the environment.
- Discuss the potential influences that climate change has on the emergence of infectious diseases from human, animal, and environmental health perspectives.
- Apply knowledge about climate change to clinical reasoning, emergency preparedness, and medical decision-making involving emerging and special pathogens.
- Identify resources to stay up to date with evolving disease epidemiology.
