TARGET AUDIENCE
This accredited continuing education activity is designed for frontline workers, physicians, nurses, and infection preventionists.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this enduring material, the participant should be better able to:
- Describe both common and rare ophthalmic findings in mpox, given the ongoing mpox outbreak and public health emergency.
- Discuss the recent data and relevance of mpox DNA in the tear film for patients and health care providers.
- Review IPC precautions for ophthalmic evaluation including source control, equipment handling/disinfection, and implications for HCWs.
METHOD OF PARTICIPATION
